In 2004 Montecristo introduced a new cigar with a 52 ring gauge, and they called this cigar the Edmundo. This new size was in recognition of the trend for bigger gauge sizes, and a shorter version, the Petit Edmundo, followed two years later.
Montecristos perfectly balanced blends are created exclusively with selected filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone, home of the finest tobaccos in the world.
